Frequently asked questions.
What does it cost to work with you as a travel advisor?
It's free! Hotels pay me a commission when I book you as a client, so there's no cost to you for my services. I only charge a booking fee for very complex trips with more than 15 people.
How does the booking process work?
It's simple. Start by booking a free consultation with me, where you'll share all the details of your trip. From there, I get to work curating ideas and possible itineraries tailored to what you're looking for. You pick what you'd like, we book it, and then you travel.
What are the benefits of booking through you versus booking directly or using an online travel site?
I handle all the research and offer you the best rates for your desired activities. Plus, you get added perks like free breakfast, room upgrades, free nights, and hotel credits. And if anything goes wrong, you have my support throughout your trip.
Do you specialize in certain types of travel or destinations?
Yes, I specialize in safaris and destinations in the US and UK. But I can help you plan trips anywhere else in the world too.
How far in advance should I contact you to plan a trip?
A lead time of three months or more is ideal. For complex trips, honeymoons or wedding room blocks, six to eight months in advance works best.
What happens if something goes wrong during my trip?
Contact me as soon as possible, and I'll help sort things out. And of course, don't forget to add travel insurance when booking (I’ll advise you on the same when making your bookings).
Can you help with just flights and hotels, or do you arrange complete itineraries?
I can help with hotels, cruises, tours, and activities to create a complete experience for you.
Do I have access to special perks or rates that I wouldn't get on my own?
Yes. Through Fora, I can arrange perks like complimentary breakfast, room upgrades, spa credits, resort credits, and more that you wouldn't get booking on your own.
How do you get paid for your services?
I earn a commission from the hotels, cruises, and tour operators I book with, so my services come at no cost to you.
Can you work within my budget?
Absolutely. I work with a range of budgets and will find the best options that fit what you're comfortable spending.
HONEYMOONS
Why should I use a travel agent to plan my honeymoon?
You made it through the toasts, celebrations, and (miraculously) the wedding planning. Now it’s time to exhale. Even though honeymoon planning can be overwhelming, it doesn’t have to be. Just as a wedding planner helps you prepare for the big day, a travel agent helps manage all the logistics and details of your honeymoon so you can have the stress-free getaway you deserve.
How do I pick a honeymoon destination?
As your travel Advisor, I will take the time to get to know your travel style. Are you a luxury hotel lover? Do you want an all-inclusive resort? Are you into active adventure? No matter what your vision looks like, I can lend my destination expertise to help you choose your dream destination.
What are the top honeymoon destinations?
The best honeymoon destination for you depends on your travel style. Generally, a lot of newlyweds tend towards locales like Botswana, the Bahamas, the Maldives, Bali, and the Amalfi Coast. Other popular honeymoon destinations include sun-soaked settings like Greece, Hawai'i, and Mexico.
Where should I go for a tropical honeymoon?
We love French Polynesia, the Bahamas, and Riviera Maya. These are among the top destinations for those who have their eyes (and hearts) set on a tropical honeymoon.
Where should I go for an adventurous honeymoon?
Costa Rica, African safari and Chile (Patagonia) are top adventure spots. New Zealand, the Swiss Alps, or the Dolomites are also popular choices, to name a few. Don't forget cruises! Your Fora Advisor knows just the right expedition cruise to fit your adventurous spirit.
